I translate.
Your content shines.

As an Italian translator, since 2020 I’ve been making sure instructions don’t get lost, marketing doesn’t sound flat and games don’t feel like homework.

Behind the words

I was born in Naples, a city as famous for its sun as for its pizza. Since then, life has taken me on quite a ride: years of study and work between Europe and China, and more recently a habit of moving around every so often, spending a few months here and there to soak up new places, perspectives as well as languages.

Becoming a translator wasn’t the plan from day one, but languages were always part of my story. Back in high school, I’d entertain my family by pretending to be a Chinese interpreter at the dinner table. I never ended up in a booth — instead, I built a career behind a screen.

When I’m not working with words, I’m usually chasing curiosity in other ways: hiking, learning yet another language, experimenting with embroidery, diving into psychology, or reading essays. I like to keep my mind and hands busy, and I’m always up for a new challenge.

Now, a few fun facts about me:

I dream of van life, but with my driving skills… let’s just say it’s safer for everyone if I keep it a dream (for now).

I sometimes fantasize about building my own augmented translation platform

If I’m in the dark, I’ll reach for my phone’s flashlight instead of the light switch. Creature of habit.

My one attempt at pizza-making produced an unleavened disaster. I guess it still counts as pizza, “dough”.

I’ve studied over 8 foreign languages so far and I dream in most of them. That’s also why Netflix doesn’t tempt me that much.

Curious about my journey and how I can support your projects in Italian? Let me take you through it!

My Experience

My translation journey began in 2020, right after completing two internships at translation agencies and earning my Master’s degree in Specialized Translation from the University of Bologna. I started out with technical manuals for the automotive, printing, and HVAC industries, as well as patent applications across a variety of fields. People warned me that technical translation would turn my writing into a cold, dull “pressure washer manual.” In reality, it opened up a world full of precision, logic, and attention to detail — and every new project taught me something unexpected.

Over time, I expanded into marketing translation and localization, working with video games, websites, apps, software, and SaaS. Here, it’s all about persuasion, engagement, and cultural adaptation. These projects give me the creative freedom I enjoy, while still letting me flex the precision muscle I developed in technical translation. It’s the perfect way to keep both sides of my brain busy.

Beyond translation and localization, I also provide proofreading, post-editing, testing, and terminology and linguistic consulting services. I regularly take courses to stay up to date and continue expanding my skills, so I can offer clients high-quality, reliable, and nuanced solutions for every project.

My Areas of Expertise

A mix of curiosity and a bit of fate has guided me toward several areas of specialization. Technical translation introduced me to the worlds of manufacturing, engineering, and telecommunications, where precision and clarity are everything. Meanwhile, marketing translation and localization opened doors to tech companies, cybersecurity firms, and game studios, letting me help bring product pages, sales materials, digital content, and video games to life in Italian.

Along the way, my curiosity has drawn me into other fascinating fields, from automation and robotics to environment and renewable energy. I make it a point to stay up to date with the industries I work in, diving into professional development courses, blogs, and industry publications. Each project is not just a translation, it’s an opportunity to learn, adapt, and deliver content that feels natural and authentic to the audience.

My Approach

Translation is more than just swapping words between languages, it’s about making the text feel right for the people who will read it. Every project has its own tone, audience, and purpose, and my role is to keep the original meaning intact while making sure the Italian version reads naturally and smoothly.

When I’m working on a technical manual, I make sure the end user finds the information exactly where and how they expect it. When localizing a sales page, the goal isn’t just to translate words, it’s to make the content engaging, persuasive and tailored to the target audience.

I use CAT tools, proofreading software, and terminology management systems to maintain accuracy, consistency, and high quality. Being a tech enthusiast, I quickly adapt to new platforms and workflows, ensuring each project runs efficiently while meeting the highest professional standards.

My Core Values

Every translation I work on reflects not just my skills, but the principles I stand by. Over the years, I’ve discovered that attention to detail, genuine curiosity, and a human approach are what make a real difference, for my clients, their audiences and the texts themselves. These are the values that guide every project I take on, and the reason clients choose to work with me.

Cultural Awareness

I’ve studied many languages, lived in different countries, and met people from a wide range of cultural and professional backgrounds. This has given me a finely tuned cultural sensitivity, which allows me to quickly understand what works in each language and context. I know, for example, what a Chinese user expects from a SaaS app interface, and how an Italian reader wants to see information laid out in a technical manual. This cultural awareness ensures that every text — whether a user manual, a software UI, or a video game — meets the audience’s expectations and feels natural to them.

Curiosity and Learning

I’m naturally curious — some people joke that I’m always performing Google searches. I read a lot, absorb information from many sources, take continuous professional development courses, and explore a wide variety of interests, from writing and psychology to philosophy, embroidery, nature, and even the inner workings of a wind farm. This curiosity doesn’t just shape the fields I specialize in — it also informs the work itself. Whenever I encounter something I don’t fully understand, I don’t just translate; I dig deeper. That way, I can deliver translations of the highest quality to my clients, while also learning something new with every project.

Empathy and Honesty

Even in a world of fast-paced translations and increasingly impersonal workflows, I value building real, trusting relationships with the people I work with — whether they’re fellow translators, project managers, or company employees. I care about my clients’ business as much as I care about my own. This approach allows me to work confidently, knowing my contributions are recognized, while also gaining a deep understanding of the client’s world — their operations, workflows, preferred terminology, and expectations — so I can deliver translations that truly fit their needs.

Certifications and Recognitions

Great translations don’t just happen they’re built on study, practice, and experience. Here are some of the key steps in my journey that made me the translator I am today.
